Fee Waybill of the Tubes Interview Show "...and a baby's arm holding an apple." Yeah, when the Tubes sell one in "What Do You Want From Life?," you can be sure it means something naughty. From 1969 to the present day (with a seven year break from 1986-93), Fee Waybill has been the outrageous front man and singer for the band, switching identities multiple times on stage (the best known of which is Quay Lewd of the three foot platform shoes singing the Tubes classic "White Punks on Dope"). The '70s brought the wildest material, which became slicker by their 4th studio album in 1979 (produced by Todd Rundgren) and then hit full-scale commercial success in '81-'83 with two albums featuring the New Wave hits "Talk To You Later" and "She's a Beauty." Fee brings us from his poverty-stricken hippie beginnings to the band's headlining stadium status in this free-wheeling interview show.
