Side project of Phil Manley of Trans Am, a trio along with Donny Newhouse & Phil Becker. They are also the owners of the Bay Area’s El Studio. Formed in 2016. And yes, the band is named after the NPR radio host.
Formed in 2004 in Fleetwood, England by Fred Laird, along with Jon Blacow (drums) & David Fyall (Bass). Laird & Blacow also played in The Crawling Hex, a garage/rockabilly band from 2014-2015. Earthling society disbanded in 2018. Laird formed the band Taras Bulba shortly after.
From Tokyo, Japan, as far as I can tell, this is their only album. Guiarist Tetsuo Kitame previously played in the band Love Love Straw (you can find a few live videos on youtube).
From Sweden, this LP Was Originally released in 1970 with the lyrics sung in swedish. EMI had them re-record the tracks in English for Export. This LP was reissued in 1997 on RPM/EMI. The band recorded one LP, and 2 singles & disbanded in 1972. They reformed in 2006 to play a concert, but never recorded again.
From Sweden. The band initially booked studio time this past spring to record a new LP that they had already written. Then Covid-19 hit, and affected by the strange times, they ended up writing new tracks which became this release.
