Dissing is a Danish singer, composer, guitarist and harmonica player. He made his album debut with En aften i folkeklubben in 1965. His public breakthrough came in 1973 with the album Svantes viser, a collaboration with poet Benny Andersen, whom he has cooperated closely with since.
Designed and built by the Dutch firm of D. A. Flentrop, St. Mark's organ now contains 3,944 pipes, ranging in size from 32 feet to less than one inch. The pipes are made of either a tin and lead alloy, cured copper, African and/or Brazilian mahogany. The organist may select from 58 speaking stops distributed over four manuals and pedal.
