So, at 7:30P I leave my apartment to go do my radio show. As I walk into the Davis Sq. T station a train is just leaving. Darn, I think, I'll catch the next one. At 7:40P a train pulls into the station, honks its horn a few times, and keeps on going. An express. Now I'm annoyed, since I knew I'd have to run from the Kendall Sq. T station to WMBR. At 7:45P another train pulls in and stops, I get on. It runs to Porter, stops, runs about half the way to Harvard Sq., and stops.
The train does not move for half and hour. It is broken, crippled, disabled. Finally, the poor thing limps to Harvard Sq. I run up to street level at 8:20P, hoping to catch the 1 bus scheduled to leave at 8:25P. At 8:45P at bus finally comes. I arrive at the WMBR fully one hour late.
