Inspired to play the Oblivians after reading an article in the April 3rd New Yorker about musician & Neuroscientist David Soldier/Sulzer & his Research into how music & the brain interact. In his experiment with Finches, he set up a series of levers with various songs & instruments - Finches birdsong, other birds singing, gongs, flutes, trumpets (etc) & the Oblivians. The Finches played almost all the various songs/ instruments over & over, but the first time they played the Oblivians they all shrieked, jumped away from the lever, & never touched it again.
